Ukrainian National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko reported the information.
According to the statement, soldiers of the 2nd Operational Battalion of Ukraine's 15th Brigade Kara-Dag captured a Russian infantry group in the Kupiansk direction. The group was trying to gain a foothold in the Ukrainian unit's area of responsibility.
The Russian group was detected in advance by unmanned systems units, which also "created the conditions for further actions by the infantry," Pivnenko added. As a result, the Russian soldiers decided not to tempt fate, surrendered, and stayed alive.
- The Ukrainian National Guard has created two new corps. They are headed by the commander of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade Azov, Colonel Denys Prokopenko (Redis), and the commander of the 13th Operational Brigade Khartia, Colonel Ihor Obolenskyi (Kornet).
