Ukraine’s General Staff: 103 clashes along frontline, Pokrovsk sector facing heaviest battles

Ukrainian forces continue to hold back Russia’s advance, according to Ukraine’s General Staff in its evening update as of 4:00 p.m.

Border areas under fire

Russian troops shelled settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions from across the border. The attacks targeted Bobylivka, Hirky, Kucherivka, Vasylivka, Shalyhyne (Sumy region) and Zarichchia, Serhiivske (Chernihiv region).

Situation by directions

Sumy and Kursk directions: Russian forces launched three air strikes, dropped five guided bombs, and conducted 87 shellings, including six using multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian defenders achieved partial success, advancing and consolidating their positions in some areas.

Kharkiv direction: Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks near Vovchansk, Synelnykove, and Dvorichanske. Four battles are still ongoing.

Kupiansk direction: Russian forces carried out four assaults near Pishchane and Petropavlivka.

Lyman direction: Russian forces attacked six times near Koroviy Yar, Drobysheve, and toward Lyman. Two clashes continue.

Sloviansk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks near Serebryanka, Vyimka, Pereizne, and in the direction of Dronivka.

Kramatorsk direction: One combat clash took place near Stupochky.

Kostiantynivka direction: Ukrainian soldiers stopped seven Russian offensives near Shcherbinivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ivanopillia, Yablunivka, and in the directions of Berestok and Sofiivka.

Pokrovsk direction: Russian forces made 27 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Shakhove, Nove Shakhove, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Novoeekonomichne, Rodynske, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Udachne, Molodetsk, Novomykolaivka, Novoukrainka, and Dachne.

Oleksandrivka direction: Russian troops launched nine attacks near Yalta, Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, Yegorivka, and Novohryhorivka.

Huliaipole direction: Ukrainian forces repelled one Russian attack near Novomykolaivka, and another battle is ongoing.

Orikhiv direction: One clash occurred near Stepove.

Prydniprovskyi direction: Russian forces made one unsuccessful attempt to breach Ukrainian defenses toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.

• Over the past day, on November 3, Russian forces lost 840 soldiers, as well as five tanks and 42 artillery systems destroyed by Ukrainian units.
