The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

Specifically, in the Republic of Mordovia, explosions were recorded at the Saransk Machine-Building Plant—an enterprise that produces anti-personnel engineering munitions, mining kits, detonators, and initiation units.

The Makhachkala oil refinery in Dagestan was also hit: according to the General Staff, the strike hit one of the processing units. The plant supplies and stores fuel for the needs of the Caspian Flotilla, particularly for refueling military vessels. Its annual processing capacity is up to 1 million tons.

The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

The Defense Forces state that they will continue measures to weaken the military-economic base of the Russian Federation to compel it to cease its aggression against Ukraine.

  • On Tuesday, October 21, the Defense Forces launched a combined missile and air strike on the Bryansk Chemical Plant, which produced fuel for the missiles Russia used to shell Ukraine.
