Ukraine's General Staff reports 89 firefights at front
Russian troops are most active in the Pokrovsk direction, with ongoing firefights reported in the area of Vovchansk
Ukraine's General Staff reported the information as of 7:00 p.m. on June 17.
The number of clashes across the entire frontline has risen to 89, with the most intense fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk sector.
In the Kharkiv sector, three clashes are underway near Vovchansk. Nine hostile actions were recorded in this area and near Lyptsi. According to the General Staff, the Russian army lost 111 soldiers today. Ukrainian forces also destroyed a tank, an armored vehicle, and 23 Russian drones.
The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains tense, with 37 clashes reported so far today. Ukrainian troops repelled 22 assaults by Russian forces and continued to engage in 15 ongoing battles. The situation is currently stable, with Russian troops suffering significant losses, including 290 killed and wounded. The counting is ongoing.
On June 17, Russian forces attempted five attacks on our positions in the Vremivka sector. Ongoing engagements are reported near Staromaiorske, Vodiane, and Urozhayne.
In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.
Ukrainian Defense Forces are repelling Russia's advances into Ukrainian territory. They continue to inflict damage on the occupying Russian army and weaken its offensive capabilities across the entire frontline.
