Ukraine eliminates 8 out of 11 Shahed drones targeting grain in nighttime attack
On the night of Sunday, September 1, Ukrainian defenders shot down 8 Russian-launched drones. The majority of the air defense activity took place in the southern regions of Ukraine

Ukraine’s Air Force reported the information.
Last night, Russian troops launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kursk region and 11 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This time, they were targeting Ukrainian grain and agricultural logistics, particularly in Mykolaiv and Sumy regions.
As a result of combat operations, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, air defense systems of the Ukrainian Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 8 attack UAVs.
Air defense was operating within Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
- In the evening of August 31, Russian troops launched a missile attack on grain trucks in the Sumy region: one person was killed and one was wounded.
- In the morning of September 1, Russian troops attacked Bohodukhiv district of Kharkiv region and hit a civilian enterprise, injuring two people.
