Ukraine allocates extra funds to boost domestic missile production
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has assured that more Ukrainian-made missiles will be produced
He announced this on his Telegram channel.
On August 6, President Zelenskyy met with the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the situation at the front, specifically focusing on the Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and Kharkiv regions.
Ukraine's army chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, provided an update via video link. He is currently on the frontline, closely monitoring the situation.
"Our top priority is improving our own drones and missiles. We need to meet the Defense Forces' needs by the end of the year and manage production effectively. Reports will be presented by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation Mykhailo Fedorov, and Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin," Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that more Ukrainian-made missiles are coming. Additional funding has been allocated to enhance the Ukrainian missile program.
"We will also receive separate reports from intelligence agencies — the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine — on the situation and immediate goals of Russian troops. Additionally, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will report on the supply of weapons and equipment to new brigades. We are actively collaborating with our partners," Zelenskyy added.
