Russian forces attempt to push Ukrainian defenders out of positions in Kupyansk sector
Andriy Besedin, head of the Kupyansk City Military Administration, says that all Russian weapons are reaching the central parts of Kupyansk
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
“The enemy is pressing along the entire front line, throwing a large amount of manpower and equipment. The Russians are trying to push and force our guys out of their positions. Unfortunately, the enemy is having local successes. There are issues of access to the Oskil river in certain areas, as well as approach and proximity to the city of Kupyansk,” noted Besedin.
According to the head of the Kupyansk city military administration, the occupying Russian army is 2.5-3 kilometers from Kupyansk.
“In terms of geographical location, Kupyansk is a natural fortification, two channels of the Oskil River. The right bank of Kupyansk is located at a height, so the entire front line from Dvorichna to Svatove is visible. All Russian weapons reach the central parts of the city. The tank is working through the territory of the settlements, so the situation is extremely difficult,” emphasized Besedin.
- Over the past day, on October 29, 175 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline. Russia attacks most actively in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions.
