Russia not redeploying units from Donetsk to Kursk - Ukrainian serviceman Sazonov
Ukrainian serviceman and political scientist Kyrylo Sazonov notes Russian forces are not moving units from the Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk, and Lyman directions to Kursk
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the east is indeed very challenging. Regarding the redeployment of units from the east, the Russians are not transferring any forces to Kursk. This remains a priority for them, and they are not altering their plans. Their primary objective continues to be reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk region. Consequently, they are concentrating all available forces in the east. If there is any easing of the situation, it would be due to reserves, initially planned for these areas, being redirected to the Kursk region. However, the Russians are not moving units from the Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk, and Lyman directions to Kursk," Sazonov emphasized.
According to the Ukrainian serviceman, the Kursk direction is currently being handled by the "Sever" group of the Leningrad Military District, including forces from Russia's Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions.
"That is, the Russians are moving troops from Vovchansk and Kupiansk. They say that reinforcements are coming from the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, but they are not moving anyone from the Donetsk direction. Very heavy fighting is going on here," added Sazonov.
