Russian army attacks in 10 directions - Ukraine's General Staff

The border settlements of Sumy and Chernihiv regions are suffering from Russian shelling. In particular, artillery and mortar fire hit the areas of Karpovychi, Druzhba, Uralove, and Mykhalchyna Sloboda. In addition, the Russians conducted two air strikes with five guided bombs on Loknia and Myropillia.

The Kharkiv region is also under constant bombardment by Russian aircraft. Since the beginning of the day, from the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino, the Russians have launched two air strikes using three combat aircraft. They targeted the areas of Izbytske and Lyptsi.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops carried out three attacks near Hlyboke and Vovchansk, where one firefight is currently underway.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops conducted 11 offensives near Synkivka, Kolesnykivka, Novoosynove, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka. Eight attacks were stopped, three are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the invading Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions five times near Makiivka, Nevske and Terny. Four battles were completed, one is ongoing. In addition, the occupants bombed the territory of Serebryanske forestry with two guided bombs and launched 15 NARs near Makiivka.

In the Siversk direction, the Russian forces attacked near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Vyimka, and Ivano-Dariivka during the day. As a result of the clashes, the Russians were defeated.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian military conducted six assault operations near Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and Andriivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled half of the attacks, three more are ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russians increased the number of attacks to 14 - they attacked near Zalizne, New York, Toretsk and Pivnichne. Eleven battles are over, three more are ongoing. In addition, the invaders launched five air strikes on Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians conducted assault operations in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselivka Persha, Zhelanne, Serhiivka, Panteleimonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Mezhove, Karlivka, and Kalynove. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the onslaught of Russian troops and defeated 16 attacks, four firefights are ongoing. Russian losses in this area are being clarified. The Russian troops also conducted five air strikes in the area of Hrodivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the invaders attacked four times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Heorhiivka, and Paraskoviivka. Two of the attacks are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russians stormed Ukrainian defenses three times near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, and Rozdolne. Two attacks were stopped, one is ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces were unsuccessful in attacking Ukrainian positions near Robotyne.

The situation in other areas of the front remains unchanged, Ukrainian General Staff added.
