Russian army tries to break through to Kurakhove — Ukrainian officer on Avdiivka sector

Vadym Mazevych, commander of the drone unit of the 3rd separate assault brigade, noted that the Russian troops have slightly changed the general concept of the offensive in the Avdiivka sector

He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

"In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy is trying to use mixed tactics. In some parts of the defense forces' contact line, we can observe the enemy's offensive with the help of armored formations. That is, an offensive with tanks and armored vehicles is taking place. In other parts, the enemy is trying to use infantry tactics. That is, the tactics of small and large groups that can attack. This is especially evident at night or when it's cloudy," noted Mazevych.

According to the commander of the unmanned aircraft system, the Russian army has started to massively use electronic warfare on armored vehicles, which greatly interferes with the work of UAVs, but the guys are working quite effectively.

"The enemy has slightly changed the general concept of the offensive. The Russians are trying to break through the main direction where they have armored vehicles, which is directed towards Kurakhove," emphasized Mazevych.

Previously, Serhiy Tsehotskyi, an officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, noted that Russian forces try to break through the Ukrainian defense and conduct offensive actions in the Avdiivka direction daily. According to him, on April 11, four Russian infantry fighting vehicles and infantry went on the offensive towards Krasnohorivka. The first armored personnel carrier was destroyed, and three immediately fled.
