Russia moving troops, equipment via new Mariupol railway — Southern Defense Forces
Invading Russian army is actively transferring weapons and military equipment via the new railway that connects Rostov-on-Don, Mariupol, and Volnovakha
Vladyslav Voloshyn, the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.
“They are transferring from the Donetsk region, from Russian territory, and also through Crimea, because their Dnieper force grouping is stationed in temporarily occupied Crimea. Training centers and preparation facilities for Russian assault troops are mostly located in temporarily occupied Crimea. A certain amount of equipment and weapons also comes from there. Moreover, they are actively using the new logistical route — the railway — which was recently built,” the spokesperson stated.
According to him, strikes on the Russian logistical routes are ongoing, but Russia is very quick to restore them.
“We are striking logistical routes, but the Russians are restoring them. They fully understand that their success completely depends on these supply lines,” Voloshyn added.
