Over the past day, the occupying Russian army lost 1,280 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 12 tanks and shot down 120 drones and 103 missiles

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information on August 27.
Russia’s total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 27, 2024, are approximately:
- personnel - about 610,100 (+1,280),
- tanks - 8,563 (+12),
- armored fighting vehicles - 16,667 (+19),
- artillery systems - 17495 (+52) units,
- MLRS - 1173 (+1),
- air defense systems - 937 (+0),
- aircraft - 367 (+0),
- helicopters - 328 (+0),
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 14,254 (+120),
- cruise missiles - 2,547 (+103),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0),
- submarines - 1 (+0),
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 23.613 (+58),
- special equipment - 2,944 (+3).
In the evening of August 26, Russia launched attack drones and missiles at Ukraine: in Kryvyi Rih, they hit a civilian infrastructure facility, resulting in deaths and injuries. There were also casualties in Zaporizhzhia region.
