Massive Russian troop and armor movements spotted in occupied Donetsk region
On July 25, a large movement of Russian military equipment has been recorded heading toward the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region
The update came from Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, via his Telegram channel Andriushchenko Time.
“Today, they (Russian forces - ed.) were actively on the move in all directions, just as we expected,” he wrote. “Troops were redeployed from training camps in Mariupol and Berdiansk to northern Donetsk region. Tanks and air defense systems were sent toward the Polohy direction. We haven’t seen this many heavy armored vehicles in a long time.”
The main route for these transfers remains the Uspenka and Voznesenka checkpoints between Russia and the Donetsk region.
"Everything is moving toward northern Donetsk region," wrote Andriushchenko. "According to our sources, a large number of convoys have been heading for Donetsk in recent days, hundreds of trucks with various purposes over just a few days."
He concluded that this confirms Russia is now prioritizing the Novopavlivka and Pokrovsk directions.
