Maduro's overthrow and Russia's problems

The first group is political or status-related. The USSR, and then the Russian Federation, built their presence in Latin America from the 1950s, and there are all prerequisites that the efforts will be wasted, there is a chance to turn this page. After the loss of Syria, this will mean almost a loss of global player status and its change to regional, and this is a direct result of Russian aggression.

And the recent strategic agreement between the RF and Venezuela shows what Russian support is really worth.

The third, and actually the main one — is energy-related. Having good cooperation with Saudi Arabia and control over Venezuela's oil resources, the U.S. will receive carte blanche for control over oil prices and its flows. That is, the very "cards" that Trump loves to talk about. The question is only how Trump will want to play them. It's not just about us. If he wants to at all, he might keep them up his sleeve. There is work to be done.
