ISW suggests new possible Russian offensive in summer 2024
The invading Russian army is likely to try to launch new offensives in Ukraine in the summer of 2024
The Institute for the Study of War reports about this.
The analysts noted that Western assistance to Ukraine could play a decisive role in Ukraine's ability to hold territory and repel a new possible Russian offensive in the coming months.
"Russian forces are attempting to maintain the tempo of their offensive operations throughout eastern Ukraine in an effort to prevent Ukrainian forces from stabilizing their defensive lines," the analysts said.
According to ISW, the occupation army will keep using the advantage of having the initiative on the entire front to dynamically reassess its offensive efforts this spring and summer, probably hoping to exploit possible weaknesses in Ukraine's defense.
Russian troops are likely to continue their breakthrough attempts before severe weather conditions in the spring limit effective mechanized maneuvers on both sides of the front line and further limit Russian capabilities to achieve significant tactical success.

Lviv paratroopers managed to stop another offensive and destroy Russian armored vehicles with the support of a neighboring unit in the Bakhmut direction.
