Iranian elite reportedly negotiating evacuation from country with Russia

This is reported by the Iranian opposition TV channel Iran International, which broadcasts from London.

According to the outlet, one of the high-ranking Russian officials assured Hejazi that in the event of an escalation, Moscow would provide him with evacuation through a safe corridor.

It is also reported that similar discussions have taken place with other senior Iranian officials. Some of them, the authors note, are already finalizing their own exit routes from the country.

• Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran does not seek to expand the conflict with Israel to neighboring countries, but is ready to take self-defense measures if necessary.
