China determined to block any U.S.-Russia alliance — political strategist
American political strategist Jason Smart believes that Beijing will strengthen its close relations with Russia in order to weaken the position of the U.S. and prevent cooperation between Washington and Moscow
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Indeed, the tariffs of the Trump administration did not work as intended. China today is a very large economy in the world. However, as political strategists say, it’s good that they tried, and whether it worked or not is another question," Smart explained.
The political strategist stated that China will deliberately publicly demonstrate friendly relations with Russia so that cooperation between Washington and Moscow does not intensify.
"Of course, right now the U.S. needs China and vice versa. These two countries are very interconnected. Everyone needs to understand and realize what game China is playing. That is, they are a very strong state. J.D. Vance said that for the U.S., the greatest geostrategic threat in the future will be cooperation between China and Russia. And it can already be stated that this has already begun. Their cooperation is strengthening.
Economically, it makes no sense, but Russia and China believe in such cooperation. Therefore, I think that China is doing something obvious. They will declare close cooperation with Russia and want to scare Americans with this. They will do everything so that the U.S. never becomes an ally of Russia," he added.
