Ardal robot rescues three wounded Ukrainian soldiers after month in encirclement
The Ardal robotic complex traveled over 17 km under mortar and artillery fire to evacuate wounded Ukrainian soldiers who were surrounded
Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported the information.
The ground robotic complex was developed by BUREVII, a company participating in the Brave1 initiative.
The minister noted that the robot’s developers took part in planning the evacuation operation alongside the 92nd Assault Brigade and the 154th Mechanized Brigade.
“The mission was extremely difficult; it took place in one of the hottest areas of the front line, where enemy drones are constantly flying and directing artillery fire. Over 50 people participated in the operation, including electronic warfare and signals intelligence teams, aerial reconnaissance, and bomber drones that distracted the enemy,” Fedorov said.
According to him, the wounded soldiers were successfully evacuated and delivered to a hospital, and Ardal returned unharmed.
The official noted that the state is now actively purchasing ground robotic platforms and plans to shift all logistics tasks to robots, which will help save soldiers’ lives.
- Recently, Ukraine tested FPV drones using fiber-optic communication for the first time, with a range of over 20 km.
