200 clashes occur at front on Dec. 11: Ukrainian forces repel 22 Russian attacks in Kursk region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 8:00 a.m.

“The situation at the front remains difficult. The Russian aggressor, using its superiority in manpower and equipment, continues to attack our positions. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly restraining the onslaught of the occupiers and inflicting significant losses on the enemy,” the statement says.

A total of 203 combat engagements were registered over the last day. Yesterday, the Russian forces launched two missile strikes and 15 air strikes at the Ukrainian troops' positions and localities, using two missiles and dropping 24 drones. In addition, they fired three and a half thousand times at Ukrainian settlements and troops' positions, 134 of them from multiple rocket launchers, and used over a thousand kamikaze drones to attack them.

7 settlements in the Donetsk region were hit by Russian air strikes.

Over the past day, Ukrainian missile forces and artillery struck four control points and four areas of Russian troops' concentration. 

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian aggressors unsuccessfully stormed the Ukrainian positions six times near Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Starytsia, and Vovchansk. 

In the Kupyansk direction, 14 attacks took place over the last day. Defense Forces repulsed Russian assaults near Zakhidne, Pishchane, Lozova, and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman direction, the invaders attacked the Ukrainian defenders' positions 30 times. They tried to break into Ukrainian defenses near Tverdokhlibove, Druzheliubivka, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny, Torske, Hryhorivka, Kopanka and in the Serebryanske forestry.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders fought off one attack by Russian invaders near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian troops made two attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar and Stupochki yesterday. 

Using guided aerial bombs in the Toretsk direction, the Russians stormed the Ukrainian defenders' positions in the Toretsk area five times yesterday.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 40 aggressor's offensives. The Russians actively used aviation. They stormed Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Shevchenko, Pishchane, Novotroitske, Novooleksiivka, Novyi Trud, Dachanske, Lysivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, and Pokrovsk.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces beat back 49 attacks. The invaders were most actively trying to advance near Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Dachanske, Zoria, Kurakhove, Dachne, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Hanivka, Antonivka, and Uspenivka.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian forces conducted 29 attacks on the Ukrainian positions in the areas of Trudove, Kostiantynopolske, Sukhi Yalys, Blahodatne and Novodarivka. They actively used bomber aircraft to carry out attacks in the area.

The invading Russian army did not conduct any offensive actions in the Huliaipole direction yesterday.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka once yesterday.

The Russian invaders tried five times to force the Ukrainian units out of their positions in the Prydniprovskyi direction without success.

Along the Belarus border, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

In the operational area in the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled 22 Russian attacks over the past day. 

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and aircraft near Ukrainian settlements.
