177 clashes occur at front on Dec. 6: Russian forces advance in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported this in morning briefing.  

According to updated information, the Russian aggressors launched three missile attacks using five missiles and ten air strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas over the last day, dropping 36 UAVs. In addition, they carried out about 4,000 attacks, 143 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

7 settlements were hit by Russian air strikes.

Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted five strikes on the areas of Russian troops and weapons concentration, and also hit two command centers.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction near Vovchansk, Tykhe and in the direction of Vysoka Yaruha and Kozacha Lopan, Russian terrorists stormed Ukrainian troops' positions five times and were repelled.

Nine combat engagements took place in the Kupyansk direction over the last day, in particular near Kolisnykivka, Lozova, Zahryzove, and Zakhidne.

According to the updated information, the Russian troops attacked 14 times near Cherneshchyna, Hrekivka, Kopanky, Nadiia, Makiivka, Torske, and Terny in the Lyman direction.

Five firefights took place in the Kramatorsk direction near Bila Hora and Stupochky in the vicinity of the localities.

 In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked nine times near Toretsk, Diliivka and Shcherbynivka.

 In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 48 Russian assault attacks in the vicinity of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zhovte and Chumatske. 

In the Kurakhove direction, 35 attacks took place near Stari Terny, Zoria, Sontsivka, Kurakhove, Dachne and Dalne yesterday.

The Ukrainian defenders fought off 21 attacks near Uspenivka, Kostiantynopolske, Rozdolne, Novodarivka and Novosilka in the Vremivka direction.

 Russian troops failed in an attempt to attack Ukrainian positions near Novodanylivka in the Orikhiv direction. 

The Ukrainian forces beat back the Russian invaders three times, in the Prydniprovskyi direction.

 In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 14 attacks by Russian aggressors.

 The situation in the Huliaipole direction remained unchanged. 

 On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and aviation from its territory in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.

• Over the past day, the invading Russian army lost another 1,300 troops and a number of pieces of equipment and weapons at the front.
