163 combat clashes occur at front over last day - Ukraine's General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reports this in its summary as of 8:00 a.m.

“Yesterday, the Russians launched two missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using two missiles, as well as 64 air strikes, in particular, dropped 98 drones. In addition, it carried out 4,786 attacks, 137 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems,” the statement says.

It is also noted that yesterday the aviation and missile forces and artillery of Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 14 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel and military equipment and the ground control station of the occupiers' UAVs.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, four combat engagements took place in the vicinity of Starytsia.

In the Kupyansk direction, the number of Russian attacks reached 18 over the last day. Ukrainian troops repelled Russian assaults near Kucherivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova and Vyshneve.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces conducted 17 attacks near Nevske, Makiivka, Torske and Dibrova.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians attacked three times in the areas of Stupochky and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian troops, supported by aviation, conducted one attack near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian servicemen stopped 15 attacks in the vicinity of Promin, Krutyi Yar and Selydove. Russian invaders were most active near Selydove.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces fought off 52 attacks near Tsukuryne, Novoselydivka, Hirnyk, Heorhiivka and near Vodiane.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian forces carried out four attacks in the vicinity of Bohoiavlenka, Novoukrainka and near Zolota Nyva.

In the Orikhiv direction, one attack on Ukrainian positions in the area of Mala Tokmachka was registered.

The situation in the Prydniprovskyi direction remained unchanged. The Russian troops conducted six unsuccessful attacks.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

The Russian army maintains a military presence on the border with the Chernihiv region.

“The operation in the Kursk region continues. According to available data, the Russian aggressors launched 21 air strikes in the Kursk region, dropping 32 drones,” the General Staff added.

• Over the past day, the invading Russian army lost 1,420 servicemen in the war in Ukraine. Defense Forces destroyed 17 tanks and 51 artillery systems.
