153 clashes occur at front over last day, tense situation in Pokrovsk sector - Ukraine's General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 8:00 a.m. on September 30.

According to the updated information, yesterday the Russian aggressors launched one missile and 88 air strikes at Ukrainian positions and settlements, dropping 146 guided bombs. In addition, they fired more than 4,400 times, including 141 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

10 settlements in Sumy region; 7 settlements in Kharkiv region; 1 settlement in Luhansk region; 18 settlements  in Donetsk region; 4 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; and 1 settlement in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.

Yesterday, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery conducted 14 strikes on Russian troops and weapons concentrations, and destroyed two artillery systems and an electronic warfare station.

Frontline situaton

In the Kharkiv direction, three firefights took place near Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, 13 combat engagements took place. Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russian assaults near Vyshneve, Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka, Novoosynove and Lozova.

There were 12 combat engagements in the Lyman direction. The Russians attacked near Makiivka, Zarichne, Bilohorivka, Nevske, and in the area of Serebryanske forestry.

In the Siversk direction, there was one combat near Verkhnekamianske.

Eight firefights took place in the Kramatorsk direction. Ukrainian defenders fought off Russian assault near Bila Hora and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, 11 battles took place, in particular, near Shcherbynivka, Toretsk and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 28 Russian assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, Selydove, Zelene Pole, Krutyi Yar and Zhuravka. The highest concentration of attacks was near Selydove.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 25 Russian attacks near Tsukuryne, Oleksandropill, Heorhiivka, Bohoiavlenka, Katerynivka and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian invaders carried out 17 offensives near Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Katerynivka and Yelizavetivka.

Three firefights took place in the Orikhiv direction. Ukrainian defenders beat back Russian attacks near Novodanylivka.

The situation in the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi directions has not changed much. On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian forces are actively using guided aerial bombs and attack UAVs, and are shelling Ukrainian settlements with mortars and artillery. Russian guided bombs are also exploding in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, where the Ukrainian troops are carrying out their operation. According to available information, the Russian aggressor conducted 21 air strikes over the past day, using 30 guided bombs.
