Medvedev accuses Poland of trying to restore Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with Ukraine as part of it
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has accused Poland of trying to restore the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with Ukraine as part of it.
Medvedev wrote about this on Telegram.
According to him, the Poles are allegedly dreaming of the idea of reviving an interstate union with Ukraine and restoring the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth "from sea to sea."
"Poland draws inspiration from maps from 400 years ago, when parts of present-day Ukraine were part of it. Imperial hallucinations are pushing Polish society into a whirlpool of heavy historical breaks. Warsaw elites are asleep and see how to take geopolitical revenge on Russia, revisiting, in particular, the results of the Pereyaslav Council," Medvedev wrote.
The former Russian president added that Poland has allegedly decided that "the chance to absorb the remnants of Ukraine can be realised either now or never."
"The Poles are asleep and see that they are cool again and all the resources of Russia are thrown at their containment. Only they miscalculated with their idee fixe - it's not the middle of the seventeenth century. And Poland is not Russia's equal and will never be," Medvedev continued.
Finally, he threatened Poland with Russian missiles.
"Poland - with or without pieces of Ukraine - is already an infinitely hostile 'entity' for us. The presence of "Banderites" in the Polish army does not make it any better. And it does not affect the accuracy of the use of Sarmat, Kalibr and Zircon," Medvedev concluded.
- On March 23, Dmitry Medvedev threatened to launch a missile attack on the Bundestag and the office of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in response to the possible arrest of Vladimir Putin.
