Mayor of Balakliya, who went over to the side of invaders, left with his family for the Russian Federation - the head of the Kharkiv RMA

This was stated by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov, Facts reports.

According to him, criminal proceedings were opened against Ivan Stolboviy and investigative actions are ongoing. Oleg Synegubov expressed confidence that their investigation would be to declare suspicion.

"According to our information, the mayor of Balakliya and his family left this city and went to the territory of Russia. Unfortunately, we have such facts, and I am convinced that these people will be punished fairly and severely for their actions, for betraying Ukraine and every inhabitant of the settlement", emphasized the head of the RMA.

Oleg Synegubov added that the city administration sent messages from unfamiliar numbers with a proposal to go over to the side of the invaders.

"Of course, we, the administration, answered where they should go - in the direction of the Russian ship. We did not receive any other proposals. And I think this is the main indicator that this is a stupid idea on the part of the invader - to offer us something, some kind of cooperation. The only thing we can offer them is to get out of our land", he said.
