French President Emmanuel Macron accused Russia of spreading disinformation in African countries
He said this in the interview with TV5 Monde channel during conference of French-speaking countries in Tunisia, Reuters reports.
According to him, Russia and a number of other countries are trying to implement their "predatory plan" to harm France. For this, Kremlin promotes its propaganda in African countries.
"I'm not a fool, many of influencers who sometimes appear on your programs are paid by Russians. We know them", Macron commented to TV5 Monde.
"A number of states that want to extend their influence in Africa are doing it to harm France, to harm its language, to sow doubts, but above all to pursue certain interests", he added.
