This was reported by the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Espreso reports.

A large-scale tour of the Lviv National Philharmonic named after Myroslav Skoryk has started. The concerts will be held from January 13 till March 3. The orchestra consisting of 70 musicians will give about forty concerts in different cities of the United States. Among them are New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina, Miami, Chicago, Cleveland, Rochester and others.

"We are glad to have this opportunity to present the Ukrainian team to the American public, to tell and remind them about Ukraine. To gain new experience, meet new audiences and conquer new heights. It is exciting and extremely responsible at the same time," said Mykhailo Sosnovsky, Director of the Academic Symphony Orchestra.

The tour is part of the art project "See & hear Ukraine" in cooperation with the We and the World Charitable Foundation.

"The project "See & Hear Ukraine" created in cooperation with the charity project We and the World is expected to fulfill its important role - it tells about Ukraine in the language of music and Ukrainian visual art, shows our strength and reflects everything that Ukraine is going through now. It is extremely important to remind and make the world audience aware of all this.  I am convinced that the symbiosis created will continue to play its role during these two months, whether in Florida or in other planned venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Ukrainian Institute," said Volodymyr Syvokhip,  Director General of the Lviv National Philharmonic.

Dmytro Zakhozhenko, chief director of the Lviv Academic Drama Theater named after Lesya Ukrainka, will compete for this year's Les Kurbas Prize.
