Reference. The 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade is a military unit within the Airborne Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the spring of 2014, it was among the first to be raised to repel Russian aggression, the units were sent to the northeastern borders of Ukraine. Servicemen of the brigade took part in the first battle of the war in Donbas - on April 13, 2014 near Semenivka, later they took part in the battles for Sloviansk. Since 2016, the brigade has been reformed into an amphibious assault brigade and received a tank unit.
