Lukashenko skipped Putin's informal breakfast, was rushed to the airport by ambulance and flew to Minsk
The absence of the President of Belarus at Putin's meal was noticed by RBC journalists.
They note that after the parade in Moscow, Putin had an informal breakfast with foreign leaders who had come to the country. However, the photos and videos of this breakfast did not show Alexander Lukashenko, who was present at the parade.
Also, according to the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty, instead of walking the several hundred meters from the tribune on Red Square to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with Putin and other leaders, Lukashenko traveled by car.
Lukashenko looked "extremely sad" on the parade's podium, and rumours began to circulate on the sidelines that he was ill. Also, according to journalists, his right hand was bandaged. There are no official details about his health condition.
Russian media, citing their own sources, write that he left Moscow immediately after the parade, and was accompanied to the airport by an ambulance.
Neither Minsk nor Moscow has yet commented on the absence of the Belarusian president at the joint breakfast.
In Minsk, Lukashenko took part in a ceremony at the Victory Monument, during which he laid a wreath.
However, according to the official broadcast, he did not deliver a speech, as he had done at similar events in previous years.
After the wreath-laying ceremony, the announcer announced that the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Viktor Khrenin, would deliver a speech, and at the beginning of his speech, addressing Lukashenka, he said that "on your behalf" he would express "the position of military people about the inevitable significance of the great victory
