Lukashenko drives himself into a dead end with nuclear blackmail - Mark Feigin
Russian opposition politician Mark Feigin has said that the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has driven himself into a dead end with his nuclear blackmail attempts against the West.
The oppositionist shared the details in the 'West Studio with Antin Borkovsky' program on Espreso.
"If we talk about why the West will not come to an agreement with Lukashenko, then he made one important mistake. In addition to everything that has been happening since August 2020, we should highlight the last communication with Putin on camera about the delivery of Iskander-M with nuclear warheads to the military on duty on the territory of Belarus. Any nuclear blackmail, any step in this direction means a final and irrevocable refusal of any compromise, agreement, etc. And Lukashenko could have said something else until the last moment, before it sounded," Feigin noted.
The politician added that Lukashenko could have reached an agreement with the West before the official statements about the placement of nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, but now no one will listen to him.
"Lukashenko could have released the political prisoners or something else. And how? The West saw how he and the migrants caused trouble first on the border with Lithuania, and then with Poland. They saw how he landed the planes. And here, excuse me, warheads. This is already too much from all sides. No one will agree to this at all to allow him all this. Therefore, I think that, most likely, Lukashenko will continue to enter this dead end. Let's see how he will try to get out of the loop," he noted.
