Lukashenko made the corresponding statement at a meeting on military security on October 4.
"As for our participation in the "special military operation" in Ukraine, we participate there. We don't hide it. But we don't kill anyone. We don't send our troops anywhere. We don't violate our obligations," Lukashenko said.
He added that by participating in the war against Ukraine, Belarus is allegedly trying to prevent the "conflict" from spreading to its territory.
"Our participation is to prevent the spread of this conflict to the territory of Belarus, firstly. Secondly, to prevent the task of striking Belarus under the guise of a "special military operation" by Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. As I said, in the back "No one will shoot at the Russians from the territory of Belarus. This is our participation," Lukashenko explained.
