Looting fears as Mariupol occupying 'authorities' plan to hand port city over to Kadyrov's forces
Russian forces are likely to transfer 'power' over Mariupol to the "Kadyrovtsy" - Russian soldiers loyal to Chechen strongman Ramzan Kadyrov - to intimidate and suppress Ukrainian opposition.

Mariupol Mayor Adviser Petro Andryushchenko shared the news.
Russia plans to transfer 'power' over Mariupol including the port and the right of looting to Kadyrovtsy, because Mariupol is "too nationalist and hostile."
The Mayor Adviser partially confirms the information. On May 17, the first working meeting of the occupation administration, namely State Duma deputies Sablin, Adam Delimkhanov and Ahmed Dolhayev, took place in Mariupol.
They are the actual members of the political power in Chechnya.
The deputies were discussing plans for "Mariupol restoration." The Kadyrovtsy acted as hosts, and the meeting rather resembled assessment and inventory of remains than the discussion of "restoration plan."
