Lithuanian TV anchor Andrius Tapinas became even more prominent when on May 25 he started collecting money to buy Bayraktar for the Ukrainian army.
On May 28, the final fundraising broadcast was held, and more than 5 million euros were raised. Later, Turkey transferred the Bayraktar drone to Lithuania for free.
Also, Andrius Tapinas coordinated a fundraiser, when Lithuanians collected about $750,000 for the creation of a fleet of marine drones.
