Lithuania provides radar equipment to Ukrainian Navy
On September 26, Lithuania's Armed Forces delivered radar equipment sets to support Ukraine's Naval Forces
This was announced on the website of Lithuania's Ministry of National Defense.
These radar sets are intended to enhance maritime surveillance capabilities and improve the understanding of sea conditions. Lithuania sent this equipment in response to Ukraine's request, recognizing its importance.
Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas stated, "This support will bolster Ukraine's ability to monitor its maritime surroundings, safeguard territorial waters, and protect its citizens in the aftermath of the Russian conflict."
The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania highlighted its ongoing assistance to Ukraine, including military training, medical care for the wounded, expert consultations, and financial support for international programs benefiting Ukraine.
They also revealed plans to allocate 200 million euros to support Ukraine from 2024 to 2026.
- Additionally, Lithuania recently sent a military aid package worth 41 million euros to mark Ukraine's 32nd Independence Day.
- On September 8, the country also provided 1.5 million units of ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
