"Like fascists": Russian military steal fountain from Mariupol - city council

Russian military have dismantled the main fountain in Mariupol, which they temporarily occupy, under the guise of reconstruction and transported it to Donetsk.

Mariupol City Council shared the news in its Telegram channel.

"Like the fascists during WWII: the occupiers took away the main fountain of Mariupol. Under the guise of reconstructing Theater Square, the fascists dismantled the fountain. Its modern elements and nozzles were sent to Donetsk," the department emphasized.

The city council noted that the Russian military are doing the same as the Germans during WWII. On the second day of the occupation, they dismantled the bowl of the fountain and the sculptural groups and took them to Germany.

"Such parallels no longer cause any surprise. Russians are openly acting according to the instructions of Goebbels (Reich Minister of Public Education and Propaganda of Nazi Germany - Ed.). They will end their journey in the same way - on the dock!," noted the city council.
