During the 'stabilization measures' in the liberated city of Kherson, employees of Ukraine's Security Service and the National Police discovered a torture chamber where the occupying Russian forces interrogated and abused the pro-Ukrainian population.
“We know about torture chambers on the liberated territory of the Kherson region and we have already inspected them. We are working on identifying the torture victims, their family members, and witnesses,” Kherson region prosecutor Volodymyr Kaliuha said.
Despite the lack of water, electricity and sewage, local residents are happy to be back under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. They say: “Now we are free people.”
