"In the military doctrine of the former USSR, Crimea was assigned a special role. Crimea in Russian was called "Unsinkable aircraft carrier". In this doctrine, strikes were to be carried out from Crimea against the USA and other countries. Russia restored this doctrine. With the occupation of Ukrainian Crimea, Moscow set the task of turning Crimea into a military fortress," Chubarov noted.
The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people also added that Russia threatens NATO countries from the occupied territory of Crimea.
"Our allies have already seen how Crimea is protected by Russian air defense forces - and this is a bluff, other aspects of the Russian military sphere are also a bluff. This should give us all the confidence that the liberation of Crimea will take place in a short time, without fierce battles. At that moment Russia will be at the stage of its total fall," Chubarov emphasized.
