According to LSM, this is due to his decision to volunteer to defend Ukraine, Espresso.TV reports.

"We say: Ukraine is now fighting not only for its freedom, but also for ours, in particular, Latvia and the European Union. I believe it is our duty to do everything possible to contribute to our common victory", Juris Jurašs said.

Jurašs' place in the Saeima can be taken by Eva Akuratera. According to Justice Minister Janis Bordans, she agreed to work in the parliament.

Today, March 14, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer.
