Syrskyi shared the news on Telegram.

"I was glad to welcome Major General Kaspars Pudans to Ukraine. During our meeting, I expressed sincere thanks to him, the Latvian government, and the entire Latvian people for their consistent political support, as well as for weapons, military gear, ammunition, and equipment," Ukraine’s top commander said.

He also thanked Latvia for joining the Coalition of the Willing — an initiative that could allow the deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine to help ensure state security.

During the talks, Syrskyi briefed his Latvian counterpart on the current situation at the front and outlined the main needs of Ukraine’s Armed Forces in continued cooperation with NATO allies.
