Latvia transfers 4 helicopters to Ukraine's Air Force
On August 15, Ukraine's Air Force received two Mi-17 and two more Mi-2 helicopters donated by Latvia
The Ministry of Defense of Latvia wrote about this on Twitter.
"The Ukrainian Air Force has just received 4 helicopters donated by Latvia, which will soon enter the aviation fleet of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Western countries' support for Ukraine should not stop until it frees its entire territory from the Russian occupation forces!" - Defense Minister Artis Pabriks emphasized.
Two Mi-17 and two Mi-2 helicopters were delivered to the Air Force of Ukraine's Armed Forces in a partially disassembled state. Before delivery, the helicopters were painted, and one of the Mi-17s was overhauled.
"The Stingers sent half a year ago (FIM-92 Stinger - portable anti-aircraft missile complex, - Ed.) helped delay the Russian invasion. Now, when Ukrainian soldiers are counter-attacking in many places, our donated helicopters will help conduct military operations and save lives!", Pabriks added.
