Kremlin says it is unaware of Turkey's proposal to negotiate with West
The Kremlin has not yet received Turkey's proposal to negotiate with the USA, Germany, France and Great Britain in Istanbul
This was reported by Russian mass media with reference to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmytro Peskov.
According to the Turkish side, Washington's comments on Turkey's proposal to hold Russia's negotiations with the United States and European countries in Istanbul were "very positive."
"Not yet," Peskov said in response to a question whether the Kremlin had received Turkey's offer.
On October 9, the Turkish publication Milliyet reported that Turkey plans to organize talks between Russia and the USA, France, Germany and Great Britain regarding Ukraine. Milliyet says the plan has not yet been shared with all Western capitals, but Washington has already received it through private channels and initial US comments on the matter are said to be positive. At the same time, Turkey emphasizes the need to end the war without the use of nuclear potential.
