Kremlin propagandists spread disinformation about war against Ukraine
Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) has published a compilation of fake information that Russia has been spreading since November 3.
The CCD debunked the fakes on Telegram.
The statement of Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, spreads misinformation. On the 253rd day of the war, he declared that Russia "does not want to seize any territories", but "their land is sacred, and they will not give up the land of their ancestors."
"We are fighting for our people, for the land, for a thousand-year history," - this is how Medvedev explains the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also used as a manipulation tactic by Russian propaganda. In response to the G7 and Australia's introduction of oil price caps, the ministry said: "We cannot guarantee that in the future we will not not try to introduce the same caps first to gas, then to metals and eventually to any type of commodity, which may interest Western investors.”
Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the USA, have been spreading another manipulative statement. He declares: "the fact that Russia (if it was not sanctioned) could cover a significant part of the food deficit is being kept quiet. And our announcement that we are ready to immediately send up to 500,000 tons of grain and 300,000 tons of fertilizers to the poorest countries free of charge is facing criticism".
