Russia's losses: 1,300 soldiers, 55 artillery systems, 15 tanks per day of war in Ukraine

104 combat clashes took place at the frontline over the last day. Russia is mostly attacking in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka sectors. Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,320 Russian soldiers

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to May 11, 24 are approximately:

  • personnel - about 481,030 (+1320) people,
  • tanks - 7,449 (+15) 
  • armored combat vehicles - 14,353 (+40)
  • artillery systems - 12,442 (+55)
  • MLRS - 1,064 (+2)
  • air defense systems - 796 (+1) 
  • Aircraft - 349 (+0)
  • helicopters - 325 (+0)
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 9,868 (+42)
  • cruise missiles - 2,193 (+1)
  • ships/boats - 26 (+0)
  • submarines - 1 (+0)
  • motor vehicles and fuel tankers - 16,755 (+64)
  • special equipment - 2,040 (+9)

The situation at the front:

According to the General Staff, the situation on the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus has not changed significantly. 

In the border area of the Chernihiv region, the Russian army is conducting subversive activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and is also mining the territory along the state border.

In the northeastern border area, the Ukrainian troops repelled 9 attacks in the areas of 8 settlements in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces rebuffed 13 attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks in the areas of Makiivka, Luhansk region, and Torske, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukraine's troops repulsed 18 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; and 8 more lovalities in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 attacks near 4 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back their enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, southwest of Novomykhailivka and Solodke in the Donetsk region, where the Russian army tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense three times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 14 times near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian army does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, they made one unsuccessful attack on the Ukrainian positions.

Shelling of Ukraine and damage to Russia's facilities

In total, the Russian Federation launched 7 missile and 108 air strikes over the past day, firing more than 120 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Over the past day, 3 localities in Sumy region, 3 in Kharkiv region and 7 in Donetsk region were subjected to air strikes.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

At the same time, over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces and missile troops struck 1 control center, 1 fuel and lubricant depot, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 1 radar station, and 18 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.

  • The General Staff's report at 11:00 p.m. on May 10 stated that defensive battles were ongoing in the Kharkiv region. Counterattacks continue in the directions of Lyptsi and Vovchansk. Russia is using infantry and equipment.
