Russia loses air defense system, 7 tanks and 1,340 soldiers in one day of war in Ukraine

This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 8, 2024, are approximately:

• personnel - about 662,970 (+1,340) 
• tanks - 8,940 (+7) 
• armored fighting vehicles - 17,740 (+30)
• artillery systems - 19,203 (+47)
• MLRS - 1,223 (+0) 
• air defense systems - 973 (+1) 
• aircraft - 368 (+0) 
• helicopters - 328 (+0) 
• UAVs of the operational and tactical level - 16,686 (+43)
• cruise missiles - 2,618 (+3)
• ships/boats - 28 (+0) 
• submarines - 1 (+0) 
• vehicles and fuel tanks - 26,185 (+83) 
• special equipment - 3,373 (+9).

The General Staff added that the data is being clarified.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck an oil terminal in the temporarily occupied city of Feodosia, Crimea, on the night of October 7. Among the assets at the terminal was a Pantsir-S1 air defense system.
