Russian army loses 6 tanks, 53 artillery systems, 850 soldiers per day - General Staff

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff.

Total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 2022 to March 9, 2024 are estimated at:

Frontline situatuon: Ukrainian forces repelled 54 Russia’s attacks in 6 sectors over the last day

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 3 times near Synkivka and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region, trying to improve their tactical position.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 5 Russian attacks near Terny and Spirne in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks near Andriivka and Klishchiivka.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 hostile attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomayske, and Nevelske.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukraine's forces are continuing to hold back the Russian troops in the areas of 3 localities in the Donetsk region, where they, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 22 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, 8 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions.

Russia attacked Ukraine with drones, missiles, and aircraft: Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 3 Russian electronic warfare stations

Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine's defense aviation struck 10 areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. The Defense Forces destroyed 12 out of 15 Shahed UAVs launched by the Russian occupation forces.

Russia launched 8 missile strikes, 107 airstrikes, and 113 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Air strikes hit 3 settlements in the Sumy region; 4 in the Kharkiv region; 2 in the Luhansk region; 10 in the Donetsk region; 1 in the Zaporizhzhia region and the city of Kherson.

More than 140 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

At the same time, missile troops struck 1 area of weapons and military equipment concentration, 1 control center, 3 electronic warfare stations, including two R-330Zh Zhitel, 1 heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A Solntsepyok, and 1 Russian ammunition depot.

• On the night of March 9, the Russian authorities announced a massive drone attack, allegedly shooting down 47 UAVs over the territories of four regions of the Russian Federation.
