Russian army loses 10 tanks, 30 artillery systems, 840 soldiers per day of war in Ukraine

Over the last day, 61 combat clashes took place in the frontline. Ukrainian defenders repelled a number of Russian attacks in seven directions and eliminated another 840 soldiers

This is stated in the morning report of the Ukrainian General Staff on March 19.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to March 19, 24 were approximately

  • personnel - about 432,390 (+840) people,
  • tanks - 6,819 (+10)
  • armored combat vehicles - 13,049 (+35) 
  • artillery systems - 10,698 (+30) 
  • MLRS - 1,017 (+0) 
  • air defense systems - 721 (+1) 
  • aircraft - 347 (+0) 
  • helicopters - 325 (+0) 
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 8,318 (+10) 
  • cruise missiles - 1,922 (+0) 
  • ships/boats - 26 (+0) 
  • submarines - 1 (+0) 
  • motor vehicles and fuel tankers - 14,191 (+50) 
  • special equipment - 1,735 (+4).

Situation at the frontline: Ukraine repelled 60 Russian attacks over the last day, mostly in the Novopavlivka sector

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army made three unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near the town of Synkivka in Kharkiv region. 

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 4 Russian attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the Russian troops tried to break through the Ukrainian defense. 

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukraine's defenders rebuffed 7 hostile attacks in the vicinity of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. 

In the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed 9 Russian attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukraine's defense forces are holding back their enemy in the areas of 5 localities in Donetsk region, where Russian troops, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses 25 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russia attacked Ukraine's positions 9 times near the settlements of Staromayorske in Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. 

In the Kherson direction, the Russian army has not abandoned its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, over the past day, they made three assaults on the positions of Ukraine's troops.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.

Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles, artillery and aircraft: Ukrainian Armed Forces hit areas of Russian troops' concentration

Thus, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 9 areas of Russia's personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration. Missile units also destroyed 1 Russian air defense system.

At the same time, the Russian occupation forces launched a total of 7 missile strikes and 70 air strikes, fired 110 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population.

Over the past day, 3 settlements in Sumy region, 12 in Donetsk region and 1 in Zaporizhzhia region were subjected to air strikes.

About 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
