Russia losses air defense system, 22 tanks, 1,250 troops in one day of war in Ukraine

General Staff's report: Russia intensified its attacks in the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 33 attacks per day

The operational situation in the northern Ukrainian border remains without significant changes.

Northeastern border area: the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas.

Kupyansk direction: the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 9 attacks in the vicinity of Berestove and Novoserhiivka in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

Lyman direction: 13 attacks carried out by Russian troops with the support of aviation were repelled in the areas of 2 settlements and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region; and 3 more localities in Donetsk region.

Bakhmut direction: Ukrainian soldiers rebuffed 33 attacks near 1 populated area in Luhansk region; 7 in Donetsk region, where Russia's troops, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation.

Avdiivka direction: the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 24 attacks in the areas of 8 settlements in the Donetsk region, where the Russian troops, with air support, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.

Novopavlivka direction: the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back their enemy in the vicinity of 3 localities in the Donetsk region, where the Russian troops, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses 20 times.

Orikhiv direction: the Russian army, supported by air power, attacked the Ukrainian positions 7 times near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region.

Kherson direction: the Russian army does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, over the past day, it made three unsuccessful attacks on the Ukrainian troops' positions.

Russian army launches 5 missile and 47 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the past day, 115 combat clashes took place on the frontline. In total, Russia launched 5 missile and 47 air strikes, fired 90 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Over the past day, 1 locality in Chernihiv region; 1 in Sumy region; 5 in Kharkiv region and the city of Kharkiv; 2 in Luhansk region; 19 in Donetsk region; 1 in Zaporizhzhia region; 4 in Kherson region were subjected to air strikes.

More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukraine's defense forces hit an area of Russian personnel concentration

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 5 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.

Missile units struck at the area of personnel concentration and 2 Russian radar stations.

• On April 29, Toomas Väli, deputy head of the operational department of the Estonian Defense Forces General Staff, expressed his belief that the Russian troops would not be able to realize their goal of capturing the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region by May 9.
