The occupying Russian army lost 1,380 servicemen in a day of war against Ukraine. Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed several Russian vehicles, including 5 Russian tanks

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to January 28, 2025, are approximately:

On January 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces are maintaining a buffer zone in Russia to protect Sumy and Kharkiv from a possible offensive.
