Oleh Synyehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, reported the information on Telegram.
"There is an ongoing fire at a civilian industrial facility in the Izyum district, caused by an enemy missile strike. The fire is contained. Firefighters continue to work on the site, doing everything possible to finally eliminate the fire," he wrote.
Russian troops also continue shelling civilians in the front line and border areas of Chuhuyiv, Kupyansk, Kharkiv and Izyum districts, northern Ukraine.
Yesterday afternoon, December 20, a residential building was destroyed in Vovchansk as a result of Russian shelling. A 72-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. Doctors assess her condition as moderate.
According to Synyehubov, active hostilities continue along the contact line.
"The enemy tried to go on the offensive near Masyutivka village, Kupyansk district, but failed and retreated with losses. Our defenders are reliably holding their positions and destroying the enemy's manpower and equipment," he added.
During the day, pyrotechnics of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service neutralized 305 units of Russian mines, explosives and ammunition in the region.
