Kharkiv has not experienced such a massive attack for so long: Terekhov on Russian shelling across the city 

Russian forces hit Kharkiv with rockets on the night of August 16: 5 out of 9 city districts were shelled.

Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov shared the news.

Five out of nine districts of Kharkiv were shelled. According to Terekhov, such a radius of impact of rockets in the city has not been seen for a long time.

"At 2:15, several districts of Kharkiv were shelled at once. Previously, Shevchenkivsky and Kyivsky (actually the very center of the city), Saltivsky, Industrial and Kholodnohirsky districts," the report says.

There is currently no information about the victims.

"In some cases, we have destruction of infrastructure and other objects, roads," the mayor said.

The shelling of Kharkiv began around midnight. Then, according to Terekhov, the Kyivsky district of the city was shelled from artillery.
