Kadyrov's request for 'permission to reach Kyiv', Syria's agreement to participate in the 'military tribunal' in Donetsk: Russian disinfo review
Russia is spreading fake stories about the US Defense Ministry statement on the need for a ceasefire from the Ukrainian side. The Center for Countering Disinformation published a Russian disinfo review as of July 7
In particular, Russian propagandists spread the manipulation of the alleged statement on the air of Sky News Australia by the former adviser of the US Ministry of Defense McGregor. He allegedly stated that Ukraine did not exist as a state and could completely disappear from the map, as well as that there should be a ceasefire.
"Australia should insist on a ceasefire and reach some sort of agreement. We cannot allow fighting to the last Ukrainian," Russian propaganda media give McGregor's fake statement.
The Center emphasizes that the spread of such manipulation is an attempt to put pressure on Australian society to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine.
Also, the Center for Countering Disinformation cites two more manipulations spread by Moscow.
The 'Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' of Russian-occupied territories Nikonorova stated that "the Syrian Arab Republic has given preliminary consent to participate in the international tribunal on war criminals in Donetsk," the Center notes.
According to his information, another manipulation was heard from the head of Chechnya, Kadyrov, who stated: "I have only one request. It is to allow us to reach Kyiv itself and get even with our blood enemies. This is all we ask. We will do the rest ourselves."
